Delivery Details

This study treated the product as a two-sided marketplace, examining not only customer conversion but also service-provider availability, acceptance, rejection, cancellation, and completion journeys. SQL connected order events, matching outcomes, and participant behavior to measure demand density, effective supply, acceptance, match time, completion, cancellation, and repeat usage across markets, time periods, and cohorts. The analysis explicitly considered how optimizing one side could affect the other, enabling supply strategy, demand growth, and matching rules to be evaluated within one marketplace framework.

01

Industry Context

A two-sided marketplace creates value only when both demand and supply remain active. Improving one side can change waiting, acceptance, and retention on the other, so the analytical focus must extend beyond a single conversion rate to liquidity, match quality, and long-term participant balance.

02

Business Problem

Demand-only analysis ignored effective supply and marketplace liquidity, often misclassifying two-sided interaction problems as simple conversion issues.

03

What I Built

Built participant journeys and marketplace-health measures linking demand density, effective supply, acceptance, matching, cancellation, and retention.

04

Business Impact

Provided a balanced decision framework for evaluating how growth actions affected both sides and overall marketplace health.
